Reuniting the Atlanta-based retailer with Jordan Brand for their third collaboration is the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2 Retro SP ‘Airness’. The new take on the AJ2 showcases an off-white cracked leather upper with burgundy piping and a translucent heel counter extending into the midfoot. ‘Maniére’ is stamped in white lettering on the burgundy leather heel tab while contrasting black accents are featured on the laces, quilted interior lining and tongue with snakeskin detailing and a retro Wings logo. The black snakeskin motif is repeated on the midsole inspired by the 1986 Air Jordan 2 that was made in Italy and featured a subtle reptilian texture on the leather upper.

Nike’s Doernbecher program allows children and teenagers design their own shoes as part of a collaboration with OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. While the program has gone on to spawn several popular colorways, the Air Jordan 2 High ‘Doernbecher’ represents the very first. Designed by Sheridan Brenton, who survived a car accident that required more than 40 surgeries, the shoe emerges with a Pro Gold and Lucky Green reimagining of Michael Jordan’s second signature shoe that features a paisley design throughout. Representing Brenton’s school colors, the shoe also has 35 perforations on the forefoot as a nod to his jersey number and black lizard skin detailing on the side panel.

Jordan Brand published an Air Jordan 2 in White, Varsity Maize and University Blue for Carmelo Anthony, a retail version of a PE that he wore at the tail end of his debut year with the Denver Nuggets in 2004. Jordan retrofitted the Air Jordan 2 ‘ Melo ‘ in May 2018 to mark Melo’s time in Denver, returning the Nuggets colorway and adding ‘ Melo ‘ branding to the insole.
